• This class is the entire Her Journey series with 15 lessons. We require audio capabilities for this training, as well as a working webcam. It is held over an 8 week period, 2 hours each week via your computer with Zoom.

  • Learn what compassion fatigue is when working with vulnerable people, what causes it and how to address it.
  • One module eligible for new trainees or to re-certify as a Her Journey leader. You will receive a certificate upon course completion. Note: if you are a leader with CityGate, this module was included in your initial 5 weeks of training. ABOUT THE CLASS: Many of those trafficked can tell you about abuse in their past or present home. Domestic violence is the number one reason for running away and the entrance into a life of prostitution and addiction. Learn how trafficked individuals might present themselves in a group setting and techniques to working with those who have been trafficked.

ABOUT THE CLASS: Learn about a Danger Assessment and when it is appropriate. Learn how to ask questions in a group setting to determine the risk to a group member. Understand how ARMS uses safety planning and what is recommended for a safe exit from an abusive situation.
