Occasionally, we are asked for additional healing resources, in particular from people who are survivors of abuse. Although we know that Her Journey, Virtue and Mankind have helped thousands of people recover, we are happy to recommend other resources as well. We do recommend a Counselor or Coach in addition our programs and you can find our recommended list here. Yes, we also have Counselors and Coaches who work with male victims.

We are comfortable with the following, faith-based survivor programs. Please contact us for information on any secular programs.

Her Journey– Her Journey is appropriate for ladies ages 14+ who are currently in abuse or have left abuse. It is a free program and held both in-person and online. There are 15 lessons but it is open-ended so that ladies may attend as needed, for as long as needed. Here is a summary of the class topics. Email us for more information.

SCARS Peer Support Group– Need time to process your experiences and hear from other survivors? SCARS runs an online support group twice a week. They list these on MeetUp and you must RSVP there to receive the link.

Shelter From the Storm(click “sign up now” under the Zoom box on the left to learn more). This group exists for women whose lives have been distorted by sexual abuse. They utilize the Shelter From the Storm course to help participants be able to recognize and halt destructive behaviors that are negatively affecting their lives today. Workbook available on Amazon.

Celebrate Recovery– Not abuse specific, except for when they split out into small groups. So for abuse, this group does not get as in depth as others that we have mentioned. It still has value, and especially if you have used substances to help with your pain. For women and men.

Mending the Soul– Good group for a variety of trauma for both women and men. Mending the Soul’s Basic curriculum is a starting point, and their foundational healing model. It offers men and women impacted by physical, sexual, spiritual, verbal, neglect, and other forms of abuse a safe place for transformative healing within a trauma-informed, theologically sound, nurturing community.

Flying Free Now for women with Natalie Hoffman if you are currently in abuse, plus a secondary program if you have already left abuse. We recommend the program with the monthly fee (the resources are extremely generous and there is group coaching available) versus the small groups but if you are needing to save money, perhaps start with the small groups and move on from there.

The Genesis Process/Pure Desire– Pure Desire groups support men and women in their recovery by providing a safe, confidential place to process their life story: learning how family of origin, traumatic experiences, and how wounding messages impact relationships.
